Chip off the old GOP

I guess it’s no surprise Republicans excel at being the opposition party. They don’t want to try and help people, or even pretend to help when they are in power. They just want to be in control, and when they’re not, they obstruct anything the other side wants instead of trying to work together. People (especially the younger generations) are waking up to this childish cycle of the GOP, which means we should expect to see more restrictive voting laws, more gerrymandered districts, and a steady stream of blatant lies in order to get back in power instead of showing leadership and an ability to unite and govern.

I vote on the issues which is why I have no interest in aligning myself with ANY political party, because sometimes the best candidate for one issue is in party A while the best candidate for another issue is in party B. I always wanted the option to vote for whoever I thought would handle the issue the best. But if these past 5 or 6 years have taught me anything, it’s that the Republican party has real issues, and they don’t seem intent on weeding them out either.

How many of them voted to not accept the presidential election results? Or let’s call it what it is…overthrow democracy. This is just the tip of the iceberg, but it’s all I need to admit I will likely never be able to vote in good conscience for a candidate with an “R” after their name. Even if you’re a rare good Republican with the courage to stand up and call out wrong when it’s obvious, it seems that the treasonist traitors are simply punishing the only good left on the right side of the aisle.

I hope they implode when Trump eventually turns on everyone around him. It’s already beginning. Good riddance.

What do you think?
